How Jayalakshami was discovered:

A student of Manoj Jayadev, who uploaded Jayalakshmi’s video of her singing the classic ‘ Satyam Shivam Sundaram by Lataji, Jayalakshmi was discovered by Prashant KT, the playback singer, voice over artist who further shared her video across the social media. Prashant zealously pursued his commitment to trace Jayalakshmi and he eventually found her through her guru, Manoj Jayadev.

In the mean while, the video went viral until it reached Kumar Vishwaas the popular singer and political activist.

Kumar Vishwaas too was blown away by the melodious voice of Jayalakshmi and highly praised the child prodigy for her god gifted talent. While Prashant KT discovered her through the social media video that he received online from his fans, Kumar Vishwas was left speechless by this rare talent and he took it forward by sharing it on Twitter.

He immediately endorsed the video online and requested his fans online to help locate the child prodigy, having microscopic clue about her.

When Inspite of all efforts, Jayalakshmi could not be traced , it seem to appear that yet again a rare talent will bite the dust for lack of sufficient exposure and acknowledgement. However, Zee News stepped in and went full throttle towards the search for Jayalakshmi.

They named the campaign #Searchfor Saraswati and very soon the zeal and passionate pursuit of Zee news paid off with Jayalakshmi being traced to her village in Kerala.

Jayalakshmi belongs to a music loving family and has been trained in classical music since childhood. She lives along with her parents and brother in a small village near Kochi in Kerala. Apart from her sweet melodious magical voice, Jayalakshmi is an adorable, calm and composed girl who has yet to fathom the tremendous effect she has had on the country in the past few weeks.

All of just 11 years, Jayalakshmi took her first music lessons from her mother, who herself is a trained classical singer. Presently studying in class 6, Jayalakshmi aspires to become a legendary singer like Lata Mangeshkar when she grows up.
